Launched in 2017, the Citroen C3 Aircross will offer a renewed image in the second half of 2021. The B-segment SUV will receive changes as subtle as those applied in the utility, but that will undoubtedly refresh its appearance to continue competing in a very aggressive category. Arguments that will be completed with optimized mechanics and more equipment.
The Citroen C3 Aircross is one of the most important assets of the French firm, a serious bet that arrived on the market in 2017 to replace the old C3 Picasso but with an image more typical of an SUV, entering one of the market categories more competed. With almost four years in tow, Citroen is already preparing an update to remain a leader with guarantees.
And, despite having a modern design, the C3 Aircross shows the weight of time. The French firm will opt for a facelift that will give a fresher and more modern look that will recover the attractiveness of the model when it was launched. Because, like the C3, the French stylists will “stretch” the lower chevron and separate it to integrate it into the light clusters integrated into the bumper, under the thinner ones located on the edge of the hood.
The Citroen C3 Aircross will have a more modern image in 2021
A design that we have reflected in this recreation, which will also feature the new emblem of the French brand and a very discreet revision of the grille that will feature chrome inserts in the highest versions of the range. The upgrades will be completed with new body colors, alloy wheel designs – up to 17 inches – and new livery for the side Airbumps. From behind, the changes will be limited to a lighter lens for the taillights and the adoption of LED technology, which will give a clearer appearance to the rear.
Inside, the B-SUV will improve passenger comfort with the new “Advanced Comfort” seats, while also adding more technology in all respects, one of the C3 Aircross’s disadvantages compared to the new competition. For this reason, you will receive a new touch screen for the infotainment and navigation platform, with a revised interface and Internet connectivity. The security crew will also have new driving assistants.
On the mechanical side, the C3 Aircross 2021 will keep the same engines currently for sale, although they will receive an optimization to comply with the new Euro 6d standard, without increases in power and performance, only lower consumption and emissions figures. Thus, customers will be able to choose from a very balanced offer, with the 1.2-liter PureTech three-cylinder engine with powers of 83 to 130 hp and the 1.5 BlueHDi diesel with 110 and 120 hp.
