Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition

There are still a few months to go until Ford has the new Mustang Mach-E in dealerships in the main European countries, an electric vehicle with which they intend to revolutionize the segment thanks to its generous autonomy and relatively competitive prices. Of course, the model has already been marketed in Spain since last August.

The Mustang Mach-E engine family will have versions that will develop 258, 286, 337, and 465 hp of power. Until now we believed that the 465 hp Mustang Mach-E GT would be the fastest and most radical version of this electric SUV, but the firm of the blue oval has just announced the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition.

The pinnacle of the Mustang Mach-E range will be this new, even more, powerful variant, which raises the total to 487 hp and 813 Nm of maximum torque. It is capable of reaching 96 km / h from a standstill in 3.5 seconds, a figure that, to put you in context, represents 0.3 seconds less than the conventional GT version and only 0.2 seconds more than the Shelby GT500.

The Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition features the same 88 kWh capacity battery pack as the conventional Mach-E GT, allowing it to declare a range of 378 kilometers on a single charge. Additionally, it offers some cool goodies, like 19-inch front brakes with red-painted Brembo calipers.

Also new are the new set of 20-inch wheels shod with Pirelli tires and MagneRide adaptive dampers. Inside we find Ford Performance front seats upholstered in ‘Performance Gray ActiveX’ with metallic stitching and perforated and reflective inserts, exclusive to Miko.

For its part, the instrument panel features an exclusive aluminum application. Ford will offer the new Mustang Mach-E GT and GT Performance Editions in exclusive color options. Customers who have already reserved the Mustang Mach-E GT will have the opportunity to add the Performance Edition package in Spring 2021.
