The emergency assistant improves safety by bringing the vehicle to a complete stop and making an automatic call to emergency services.

These and other functions are grouped in the ‘Tour’ package, one of the three driving assistant packages, along with the ‘Parking’ and ‘City’ packages. The latter includes features such as the new Audi Crossing Assist crossover assistant.

Engines of the new Audi A6

For the European market, the new 2021 Audi A6 will be available with two V6 engine. Later, the classic TFSI e TDI versions with four-cylinder engines will be added to the range.

All of these engines are characterized by powerful power delivery, high efficiency, and highly refined operation. The V6 engine petrol in the 55 TFSI engine is a 3.0 TFSI powerplant that delivers 340 hp and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. The 3.0 TDI of the 50 TDI engine in its 286 hp variant provides even higher torque, reaching up to 620 Nm.

All versions of the 2021 Audi A6 are equipped as standard with an automatic transmission. While the V6 engine diesel  are associated with an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission, the 3.0 TFSI is mated with a seven-speed S-Tronic.

The three-liter diesel and gasoline engines transmit power through the standard Quattro traction, through a self-locking center differential on versions with Tiptronic transmission.

In the case of engines with S-Tronic transmission, this is carried out using Ultra technology, which activates traction on the rear axle instantly when necessary.

For the V6 engine TDI diesel , Audi also offers the sports differential as an option, which enables more dynamic and stable driving on curvy roads by actively distributing torque between the two wheels on the rear axle.

And what about its maintenance? In this article, we will tell you five things you should know about the maintenance of the 2021 Audi A6.

Also with mild-hybrid technology

To further enhance comfort and efficiency, all available engines in the new 2021 Audi A6 are equipped with Mild-Hybrid Technology (MHEV). Along with the Audi A8 and A7 Sportback, Audi now has three fully electrified models in its range.

This technology equips a belt-driven electric motor (BAS) that acts as an alternator and can function as a starter motor. This electric motor works together with a lithium-ion battery with a 10 Ah capacity.

In combination with the V6 engine, a 48 V mild-hybrid system is used. The 2021 Audi A6 can coast or cruise between 55 and 160 km / h. Along with this, the start-stop system can be activated from 22 km / h.

During deceleration, the electric motor recovers up to 12 kW of energy. In real driving, the 48V mild-hybrid technology reduces fuel consumption by up to 0.7 liters per hundred kilometers. This technology allows the new 2021 Audi A6 to obtain the ECO label from the DGT.

The previous generation of the 2021 Audi A6 (2011-2018)

O  2021 Audi A6 arrives in the third quarter of 2014. It does so with a renewed design and a completely revised engine range, which adapts to the requirements of the new European regulations on pollution.

The new 2021 Audi A6 is now more efficient and technological than ever. Also, this update to the range brings with it new infotainment systems and batteries for driving assistance, which aim to anticipate new trends in the automotive sector.

Engines for all needs

The range of engines for the 2021 Audi A6  and A6 Avant includes three TFSI mechanics with outputs of between 190 hp e 333 hp and five TDI engines ranging from 150 hp to 320 hp. All engines comply with the Euro 6 emission standard and their CO2 emissions have been reduced by up to 22%.

Now Audi’s most efficient gasoline and diesel engines carry the Ultra designation. The top gasoline engine, the 3.0 TFSI, has been entirely revised. Development engineers have also completely redesigned many aspects of the efficient and environmentally friendly 3.0 TDI, which is available with either 218 hp or 272 hp.

The 3.0 TDI BiTurbo produces 320 hp. This high-performance diesel is paired with an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission. All other mechanical variants are equipped as standard with a newly designed six-speed manual transmission, or with a seven-speed S-Tronic.

In the front-wheel-drive versions, and evolved transmission with two clutches replaces the Multitronic system. In mechanical configurations starting at 272 hp, the Quattro all-wheel-drive can be combined with a sporty rear differential, which actively distributes torque between the two wheels.

A spacious and technological cabin

The new A6 also bets strongly on the interior for new generation multimedia devices. It has an optional MMI Plus navigation with MMI Touch control. A set equipped with a retractable eight-inch monitor.

Also, connectivity is total thanks to the Audi Connect supplementary module, which transfers data via 4G and allows you to enjoy online services, including new streaming apps.

The range of driver assistance systems is also very attractive, culminating in adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function. Audi Side Assist, which uses radar pickups behind the car when changing lanes, works in conjunction with Lane Keeping Assist (Audi Lane Assist), which helps prevent unintentional detours.

The night vision assistant now includes even more functions, and the basic Audi Pre Sense safety system is standard. Important information can also be activated on the optional Head-Up Display that projects data into the driver’s field of vision.

Country, sports, and super sports variants

Although its cowboy essence has remained intact, the design of the  2021 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro is now more refined. Its raised bodywork and stainless steel trim on the front and rear of the underbody stand out.

As has happened until now, it continues to incorporate adaptive air suspension as standard, allowing you to vary the ground clearance at will.

The new  Audi S6  e  S6 Avant include Quattro permanent all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension that lowers the body height by 20 millimeters. Also, through the 19-inch wheels, you can see the black front brake disc calipers.

As for the engines, the 4.0 TFSI, a V8 Biturbo producing 450 hp, accelerates the sedan from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds. The Audi S6 Avant covers that sprint in 4.6 seconds. Average consumption is just 9.2 liters per 100 kilometers in the sedan and 9.4 liters in the Avant station wagon.

This efficiency is due in part to the Audi Cylinder On Demand (COD) system, which only activates four of the eight cylinders at partial load on the throttle.

On the other hand, the high-performance sports car from Audi, the  Audi RS6 Avant accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km / h extendable to 305 km / h. Its 4.0 TFSI engine produces 560 hp, yet it has an average consumption of only 9.6 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 223 g / km.

The Cylinder On Demand system contributes greatly to this efficiency. An eight-speed Tiptronic transmission channels power from the V8 Biturbo. The standard transmission uses a center differential with increased slip limitation. The adaptive air suspension of the ‘RS’ lowers the body by 20 millimeters.
